About the role
This is a hands-on shop floor role focused on developing and improving foundry processes, ensuring quality control, and managing projects to enhance efficiency and productivity. MAGMASOFT experience is valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Utilize expertise in process capabilities and process control to monitor and maintain the integrity of the manufacturing process.
- Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Oversee project management, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve complex foundry issues and challenges.
- Ensure all foundry operations are compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operating optimally.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the foundry team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in foundry operations and incorporate them into processes where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foundry environment, with a focus on process capabilities, process control, and rigging and fixture design.
- Demonstrated experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of foundry operations and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using CAD software for design purposes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Pay
$115,000 – $130,000 per year
