Metal Welder/Fabricator

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication team. This position requires extensive hands-on experience working with both aluminum and steel in a production or custom fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and fabricate components from raw materials
• Perform high-quality welds that meet customer and company specifications
• Provide custom fabrication solutions and serve a variety of construction, infrastructure, and industrial markets
• Play a key role in producing quality fabricated products while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and efficiency
• Work well in a team to reach common goals

• Take pride in ensuring quality and control standards are met
• Pay close attention to detail
• Value a focus on safety in the workplace for yourself and your co-workers in an industrial setting
• Able to read CAD or hand drawings to calculate and accurately measure, cut, fit-up, and align materials for the welding of various configurations
• Comfortable learning to operate lift equipment and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience in welding and fabrication with aluminum and steel
• Experience with setup and usage of various fabrication shop equipment (e.g., Band Saw, CNC Plasma Table, Ironworker)

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certifications
• Forklift experience
• Experience with custom fabrication, structural fabrication, or industrial manufacturing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes
• Ability to safely handle fabrication tools, machinery, and materials
