Engineering Metal Model Maker - Experienced in running a stamping press, die design (for prototype, low number parts) Weld, cut, and grind sheet metal to create or modify prototype sheet metal vehicles bodies and sub-assemblies. Fabricate fixtures and tooling to aid in the prototype sheet metal process. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge of simple kirksite die design and use for making prototype sheet metal partsUse of hand tools: (e.g., drills, die grinders, plasma cutters, protractors)CAD print reading and data interpretationBasic Understanding in Machining:Mills and LathesWelding:MIG, TIG, spot welding, nut projection, and weld stud projectionProgram Medar controllers for spot welders a plusBuild Plates:Fabricate, assemble, and layout locations for PLP’s Preferred Qualifications Vehicle Carts:Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modifyTemplates and Masks:Fabricate spot welding masks in conjunction with the Plastic ShopFabricate templates (e.g., parts locating, weld locations, reworks, modifications, repairs).Builds - (e.g., Mules, VIP, Program):Assembly, modifications, repairs, and reworksFixtures:Fabricate and assemble weld fixturesWeld BIW fixture assemblies and partsBuild Issue Sheets:Highlight, diagnose, and report on build issuesGarage and Pilot Support:Vehicle build support (e.g., modifications, repairs, and reworks) At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
