Metal Fabricator - Steel Greece, NY | In-Person | $25 - $28 /hr | Full-TimeA well established and growing structural steel fabricator with a team that cares about their people is hiring an experienced Railing Fabricator. This is a true fabrication role, not a welding-only job. You will take a print and carry it from layout to a finished, accurate railing with limited supervision. Day shift, approximately 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with overtime available but never mandatory.What You'll Do:Fabricate railings, stairs, miscellaneous metals, and structural steel componentsRead fabrication prints and lay out material to the drawingsPerform fit-up, assembly, and welding of fabricated componentsBend pipe for railing fabrication and support sheet-bending operationsCut, drill, grind, and torch steelInspect finished work for dimensional accuracy and adjust to match the printHandle and move steel using cranes and material-handling equipmentCross-train on additional equipment and help other areas of the shop as neededWhat You Bring:Hands-on fabrication experience with railings, stairs, miscellaneous steel, or comparable productsAbility to read fabrication prints and drawingsStrong tape measure and dimensional skillsExperience with layout and fit-upComfortable with material handling and general shop work in addition to weldingPipe bending, sheet-metal bending, or CNC and plasma-table experience is a plusNo need to know our exact equipment if your fabrication skills transferWhat's In It For You:Medical, dental, and vision coverage with an employer contribution401(k) retirement planOvertime opportunitiesCross-training that builds your skills and your careerWork that is varied and hands-on, so no two days are the sameSkilled hands are hard to find.
