About the Role

Transport patients, specimens and pharmaceutical goods throughout the Medical Center. Maintain rolling stock, wheelchairs and stretchers.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens and pharmaceutical goods throughout Medical center.
  • Assigned transports are completed safely, efficiently and within established time frames.
• Routinely collects and maintains wheelchairs and stretchers (including cleaning).
  • Rolling stock is clean and operational.
• Maintains clerical records as needed.
  • Log sheets are completed accurately and timely.
• Maintains and operates pneumatic tube system when necessary.
  • Completes transfers of pneumatic tube timely and efficiently.
  • 100% compliance to departmental standards.
• Perform related duties as required.
  • Assistance is provided in emergency situations on a timely and reliable basis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• OHS Annual Assessment required.
• OHS Fit Test required.

Schedule

• Work Shift: Day
• Work Days: Weekends and holidays
• Scheduled Hours: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
• Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 hours

Pay

$28.00 per hour. For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.
