About the role

This position reports to the Global MES Program Lead and is based at multiple locations: Lititz (PA), Fort Washington (PA), São José dos Campos (BR), and Zug (CH). The role involves 25% travel and follows a hybrid work model.

The MES Business System Owner is responsible for owning the global MES template, ensuring the system satisfies all relevant business needs and is fit for intended use. The role involves coordinating a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support end-to-end MES template creation, deployments, and the MES change control process.

Responsibilities

  • Review, own, and approve the capabilities implemented in the MES template.
  • Support the execution of global MES projects and deployments, ensuring template standards are met and new modifications are properly evaluated and implemented.
  • Ensure the implementation process adheres to best practices and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with System Integrator project managers and local site leads to address technical challenges and identify solutions that effectively address business needs.
  • Collect insights and lessons learned from project implementations to enhance MES governance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support change management initiatives in collaboration with the Global Change Management lead.
  • Define or modify the MES validation strategy in accordance with CSV and Quality, ensuring data integrity and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of business experience, with at least 5 years leading projects in the supply chain or IT manufacturing space.
  • Experience working with MES systems (AVEVA Model Driven MES experience is a plus) as a consultant or system integrator, preferably in the life sciences or chemical industry.
  • Excellent communication, motivation, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating skills, confidence, and enthusiasm.
  • Strategic planning and disruptive thinking with an agile and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate within and across companies, cultures, functions, and geographies to lead change and action.
  • Fluent in English.

Qualifications

  • Specific Project Management documented training (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Experience working in a consumer goods or pharmaceutical supply chain environment is preferred.
  • Experience in global consultancy and corporate environments managing and coordinating large teams in a matrix organization is preferred.

Pay

Annual base salary for new hires takes into account a number of factors, including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, and education level, among other job-related factors.
