About the role

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Unit within the Supervision, Credit, and Learning Division processes regulatory filings and notifications for mergers, acquisitions, change in control notices, investments in bank premises, and branch filings. As an M&A Regulatory Analyst, you will analyze statutory factors for bank supervision-related filings, document compliance, and support delegated actions or recommendations to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex casework independently and provide oversight and consultation to junior staff.
  • Maintain relationships with safety and soundness, consumer compliance, and legal staff.
  • Identify key relationships at other Reserve Banks and the Board of Governors.
  • Analyze data, evaluate reports, and review compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepare high-quality written correspondence, analysis summaries, and reports documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and Board policies and guidance.
  • Conduct presentations to unit management during regulatory filings pre-acknowledgement meetings.
  • Address filings-related questions from management and support presentations to division senior management during Supervisory Risk Committee meetings.
  • Participate on System committees or work groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or similar fields of study (or commensurate experience).
  • 7 years of related experience (e.g., M&A Regulatory Analyst, bank examiner, or similar position).
  • Specialized knowledge in M&A areas such as banking, banking regulation, regulatory policy, accounting, or law.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower job grade or salary.
  • Travel requirement: 5%.
  • U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident intending to become a citizen who meets certain requirements.

Pay

Salary: $103,800–$135,000.

Schedule

Full-time, regular position. Exempt status.
