About The Role

We are seeking a detail and execution-oriented M&A Integration Manager to support the successful integration of acquisitions and strategic partnerships across GreenWaste’s environmental services platform. This role sits within the Growth & Strategy team and works at the intersection of corporate development, operations, finance, legal, HR, HSE, IT, engineering, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integration planning from late-stage diligence through post-close execution, including Day One readiness, 30/60/90-day plans, and longer-term integration milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed integration plans, workstream trackers, issue logs, decision logs, risk registers, and executive status reporting.
  • Carefully coordinate cross-functional integration workstreams across operations, finance/accounting, HR, IT, legal, compliance, HSE, procurement, fleet, engineering, and customer-facing functions.
  • Partner with Corporate Development and Finance to translate the deal thesis into measurable integration priorities, synergy targets, integration costs, and post-close performance tracking.
  • Support operational handoffs from deal execution teams to business unit and site leaders, ensuring clear ownership, timelines, dependencies, and accountability for post-close initiatives.
  • Track integration risks, open issues, functional dependencies, and required decisions; escalate matters to senior leadership as needed.
  • Support Day 1 planning, including employee onboarding, communications, systems access, payroll and benefits coordination, vendor and customer continuity, safety onboarding, and compliance requirements.
  • Aid in aligning acquired businesses with GreenWaste policies, reporting processes, safety standards, operating procedures, compliance practices, and performance management cadence.
  • Monitor synergy realization, integration costs, operational KPIs, and actual performance versus the underwriting case or acquisition plan.
  • Prepare concise integration updates for senior leadership, investment committee, board-level materials, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Capture lessons learned and help build repeatable integration playbooks, templates, checklists, and best practices for future acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus.
  • 3–7 years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, operations, project management, management consulting, transaction advisory, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional workstreams, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience with post-merger integration, operational transformation, acquisition onboarding, business process implementation, or complex cross-functional execution projects strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental services, waste management, recycling, organics, transportation, logistics, infrastructure, or other asset-heavy operating businesses preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including comfort with KPIs, budgets, synergy tracking, integration costs, and actual performance versus deal assumptions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise updates for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mentality, and ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, project management tools, and collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, HR, IT, safety, compliance, engineering, and field leadership.
  • Language Skill Proficiency in English. Ability to communicate in Spanish is considered beneficial.
