Merchant Services Accountant

Company Overview: A full-service commercial bank headquartered in New York, specializing in serving professional service firms, law professionals, and small to mid-sized businesses. The bank is seeking an Accountant to support its growing platform, which constitutes a significant portion of its revenue. Job Responsibilities: Preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly clearance and settlement activities for Merchant Services payment processing.Daily reconciliation of wire & ACH transactions to processors and “In Process” or suspense accounts.Process manual ACH payments and record accounting journal entries for daily and monthly activities.Record Mastercard (weekly) and Visa (monthly) invoices.Reconciliation & review chargebacks during month-end close.Assist in month-end close process and operational initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.2 GPA.Payment processing background preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
