About the role

Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, offering guidance and support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Assists management with supervising associates in assigned areas by delegating duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and completing required documentation.
  • Maintains facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous material handling procedures, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation align with company policies by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink, and securing fragile or high-shrink items.
  • Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, adherence to sanitation standards, and proper merchandising, stocking, zoning, and cleaning across departments.
  • Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders throughout the day, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policies.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and customers; analyzing information; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by guiding and modeling application, implementing action plans, and assisting with corrections.
  • Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, determining priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and adapting to change.
  • Embraces diversity by fostering an inclusive workplace, supporting associate growth, and attracting talent.
  • Builds strong relationships, communicates effectively, and motivates teams.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workloads.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
