Merchandising Lead
About the role
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, offering guidance and support regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.
Assists management with supervision of associates in assigned areas by delegating duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and required documentation.
- Maintains facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous material handling procedures, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation meet company standards by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, adherence to sanitation standards, and proper merchandising, stocking, zoning, and cleaning across all departments.
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders throughout the day, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policies.
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyzing information from multiple sources; monitoring progress; and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining and guiding how to apply them, implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting management with ethical and compliance issues.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources and information, determining customer needs and priorities, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability to change.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums may apply in specific circumstances, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
