About the role
The Merchandising Associate assists the Product Lifecycle Manager with all aspects of merchandising for a retail branch location, focusing on operational goals and effective product merchandising strategies to maximize sales impact.
Responsibilities
- Optimize sales through effective product placement throughout the branch location.
- Execute price tag updates as needed.
- Conduct analysis to plan and challenge product allocation within the branch location.
- Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily merchandising tasks.
- Maintain promotional displays that highlight sales items effectively.
- Communicate with the Product Lifecycle Manager to support customer needs and new or requested item sales.
- Support the safety and maintenance of the building and equipment.
- Provide customer service within the location as needed.
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
- Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
This role does not require a degree. Relevant skills and experience, along with alignment with core values, are prioritized.
Skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems and project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- Service leadership approach with a desire to exceed expectations.
Working Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- May involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, as well as dust, fumes, and gases.
- Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
- Average and normal passage of employees through the work area.
