Merchandiser

Job Responsibilities

• Handle the complete merchandising cycle from product development to final shipment.
• Communicate regularly with buyers regarding product development, order status, approvals, and delivery schedules.
• Cook up with factories, suppliers, QA teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of orders.
• Follow up on sample development, approvals, lab tests, and production progress.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers while maintaining required quality standards.
• Monitor order allocation, capacity planning, production timelines, and shipment schedules.
• Ensure all customer requirements, technical specifications, and compliance standards are properly implemented.
• Analyze costing sheets and ensure product prices remain competitive.
• Track critical path activities and proactively identify and resolve production-related issues.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to ensure products meet buyer expectations and quality standards.
• Cook up with logistics and shipping teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Maintain accurate merchandising documentation, reports, and records.
• Conduct factory visits when required to monitor production status and support problem-solving initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, and manufacturing partners.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising process from product development to shipment execution, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. The position requires close coordination with buyers, suppliers, factories, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience: 5-8 years
• Education: bachelor of science in textile engineering (te)
• Skills: fashion merchandising, merchandise planning, retail merchandising, garment industry knowledge, merchandising strategies
