Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies
- Lead daily merchandise processing and logistics operations across multiple facilities, ensuring consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Merge merchandise flow management, coordinating the movement, processing, distribution, and inventory of donated goods to maximize efficiency and product availability.
- Monitor operational metrics, staffing levels, productivity, and processing capacity to achieve established goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency across locations.
- Partner with transportation and retail teams to optimize merchandise movement and support business needs.
- Recruit, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous learning.
- Utilize operational data and reporting to improve productivity, increase revenue opportunities, and support informed business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and operational procedures while maintaining accurate reporting and inventory controls.
- Partner with Retail Operations, Transportation, Warehouse Operations, and other departments to support organizational priorities and mission success.
- Demonstrate Goodwill's mission and values by creating an environment that promotes teamwork, service, operational excellence, and community impact.
Qualifications
- Ace in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, retail operations, manufacturing, or a related operational environment.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, managing workflow, and achieving operational performance goals across multiple locations or functional areas.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing operational demands.
- Ability to analyze operational reports, interpret key performance metrics, and utilize data to drive informed business decisions and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and leadership levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business systems.
- Ability to travel between Goodwill facilities as needed to support operational requirements.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work an eight-hour shift in a warehouse and distribution environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
