Mercedes Benz Cashier

About the role

The Walter's Auto Group is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our dedicated team at the Mercedes-Benz location in Riverside, CA. Reporting to the Service Manager/Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
• Maintain the customer lounge and amenities provided for guests
• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Accurately record totals of counter tickets and repair orders and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at the end of each shift
• Communicate any discrepancies found during the verification process
• Verify parts and service invoices to batch posting report must account for all invoices closed from the prior day
• Process internal transactions daily
• Direct customers to the proper department and follow up in a timely manner
• Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally and refer customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Follow all company safety policies, dress codes, and procedures

Requirements

• Excellent attendance, consistent with attendance policy
• Available to work Tuesday through Friday 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturday's 6:45am- 4:30pm
• Strive to earn the trust, confidence and respect of our customers and your co-workers
• Basic math, computer and calculator skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to multi-task are required
• Ability to get along well with co-workers to work together as a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal and detail oriented
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
• Previous automotive cashiering experience is a plus
