MEPS – Bilingual Field Interviewer
About the role
then... maybe multiple paragraphs? Could combine into one
but could be long; still okay. Use
- for lists.
We need to ensure we don't include Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; we can drop them entirely. The Pay Range line: "Job Status Part-Time Requisition ID 26017 Pay Range The hourly pay rate is $24.65." We'll extract pay rate and maybe job status (part-time) but job status could go under Schedule or About? Probably schedule.
We'll not include "Job Status Part-Time" as heading; we can incorporate into schedule paragraph.
We must not include EEO statement.
Let's craft.
First, About the role paragraph: combine description.
Second, Responsibilities: bullet list.
Third, Requirements: bullet list (basic qualifications + minimum requirements). Might be long; we can split into two sub-sections? But only allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So Requirements can contain both basic qualifications and minimum requirements.
Fourth, Qualifications: maybe Preferred Criteria? Actually "Preferred Criteria" could go under Skills or Qualifications. We'll put under Skills.
Fifth, Skills: Preferred Criteria.
Sixth, Benefits: list benefits.
Seventh, Pay: hourly rate.
Eighth, Schedule: details about part-time, hours, data collection periods, breaks.
Make sure not to include filler like "not specified". All specifics present.
Now produce HTML.
Check for any duplicated lines: ensure we don't repeat same sentence.
Let's draft.
About the role paragraph:
Westat is seeking motivated and detail‑oriented individuals to work as Bilingual Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), a study of health care costs and usage in the United States sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). MEPS is a panel survey with several rounds of interviews with the same respondents to collect information for two full calendar years. Bilingual Field Interviewers conduct in‑person and computer‑assisted video interviews in English and Spanish with adult household members from a nationally representative sample, using a Westat‑provided laptop. They contact households in‑person and/or by phone to gain cooperation, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect and follow up with electronic and hard‑copy signed documents. Travel to the mandatory in‑person training in January 2027 is required, and interviewers may also travel to local and long‑distance households, sometimes requiring overnight travel. The position is part‑time and runs yearly with two data collection periods (January‑mid‑July and late July‑early December), with breaks of 1‑2 weeks between spring and fall rounds and about a month between fall and spring rounds. Interviewers report to a field supervisor, complete administrative paperwork, transmit electronic data daily on work days, and must comply with all data security and confidentiality requirements.
