MEP Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of construction projects, including scheduling, coordination of resources, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure that work is executed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies, and implement corrective measures as needed
• Monitor construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress, and provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues
• Ensure that all project documentation, including permits, contracts, change orders, and progress reports, are accurate, complete, and up-to-date, and maintain proper record-keeping

Minimum Criteria

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction management or a related field preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience on MEP construction projects, with at least 2 years of direct work experience as a construction project superintendent or similar supervisory role
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations, as well as construction materials, methods, and equipment
• Demonstrated work experience and a proficiency in construction management software and tools
• A stable work history is required
