MEP Manager
Summary
The MEP Manager at Grunley Construction ensures that subcontractors provide the highest quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction services in alignment with project-specific cost and schedule requirements. Reporting to the Project Executive, this role demands a minimum of five years of construction experience with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction. Essential skills include proficiency in construction project management software, understanding of building codes, and experience managing MEP subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate MEP trades, including understanding contract documents, phasing plans, MEP systems interrelationships, and construction sequencing.
- Lead the composite coordination drawings process and facilitate problem-solving sessions with MEP subcontractors.
- Assist the design and construction teams in resolving MEP issues and assist the PM in reviewing and approving MEP submittals.
- Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings and assist the PM in scope reviews, budgeting, and change order work.
- Supervise the installation of MEP work and other work as directed by management, participate in on-site coordination meetings, and lead periodic meetings with subcontractors' foremen.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of new MEP equipment and attend all relevant training programs.
- Maintain awareness of Grunley's employment recruiting program and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering, Construction Management, or Business (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction.
- Skills: Working knowledge of construction project management software (Procore and P6), understanding of building codes, and experience managing MEP subcontractors.
Qualifications
- Must have a successful track record in all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction.
- Experience dealing with MEP subcontractors and managing staff.

Base salaries are determined based on skills, position, education, experience, market considerations, and geographic location. The salary range for this role is $120,000.00 - $185,000.00.
