Mep Engineer

Description Design mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing building systems for new residential and commercial buildings.Field-document existing conditions and design modifications to existing residential and commercial building systems.Prepare contract documents (plans and specifications) for clients and contractors to use in permitting, bidding, and construction.Network with colleagues through professional and technical societies.Perform feasibility studies and consultations with written reports.Help building owners understand their buildings, and the opportunity to improve existing systems.Engage directly with clients, contractors, and industry colleagues.Collaborate with interdisciplinary design team including other engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and other invested parties. Skills revit, construction documents, Design, project management, Plumbing design, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Autocad Top Skills Details revit,construction documents,Design Additional Skills & Qualifications 4-10 years of full-time professional experience in building mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing design.Experience should include new building design and existing system analysis/modification. Professional Engineer license, or on the path to licensure. At a minimum, passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.Fluent with Revit modeling and plan production.Experience with relevant building codes and standards for all building system design and components including ASHRAE standards, the IBC, IMC, and various NFPA codes.Experience with HVAC and plumbing design software and spreadsheets.Project and client management experience a plus. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
