About the role
CMTA (formerly AMA Group), a Legence Company, is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Superintendent for its offices in New York City and New Jersey. The role involves coordinating all site construction activities and reporting to management, working with clients like NBC Universal, Disney, NBC Sports, and A+E Networks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all trade and field personnel
- Implement/improve company-wide project management processes
- Focus on administering good safety practices
- Establish site safety/site-office setup
- Review and understand project schedule
- Create Project Team & Home Page on Procore
- Generate project directory with field personnel
- Issue subcontractor welcome letters, collect insurance, and communicate safety requirements
- Review trade scope sheets/proposals
- Generate RFI list based on drawings, scope, and job site review
- Coordinate design team on open RFI issues
- Prepare submittal log and coordinate reviews with the design team
- Print and post OSHA/Safety signage and permits
- Perform site-specific safety orientations, conduct toolbox talks, and daily huddles
- Generate meeting agendas and take minutes
- Prepare client meeting minutes
- Organize site clean-off and material removal
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; OR equivalent years of related experience
- Experience in construction management; MEP and Interiors
- Working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings and other documents
- Working knowledge of MS Project, MS Project Suite, PlanGrid/Procore
- Experience working on cross-functional teams within different offices

- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently while managing multiple projects

Pay
$105,000 - $120,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
