MEP Assistant Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to HITT’s standards of safety
• Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades
• Ensure that required documentation is filed
• Aid in conducting project meetings and recording minutes
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the life of the project
• Assist in developing an MEP critical path schedule
• Update project schedule, establish overall project logistics
• Aid in coordinating and tracking critical path construction and startup activities
• Review mechanical and electrical submittals
• Track and coordinate equipment deliveries
• Aid MEP Manager in providing conflict resolution for MEP issues
• Aid in coordinating and managing the quality control process for MEP systems construction
• Aid in managing startup and pretesting of mechanical and electrical systems
• Aid in coordinating and supporting third party commissioning activities
• Manage commissioning documentation
• Aid in managing the closeout process

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
• 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
• Passion for construction industry
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written
• Strong leadership skills; able to build and lead a team
• Aptitude for problem solving
• Ability to work independently
• Motivated self-starter
• Effectively utilize computer and software technology in the performance of duties
• Willingness to travel

Pay

The Base Salary Range For This Position Is $79,200.00 - $132,000.00 Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
