Mental Health Worker, Full-Time EmPATH Unit 36 hours

Main Function

Provide a variety of direct services to patients, including:

• Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and healing (EmPATH) Unit
• Direct patient care, assisting in the patient admission, discharge and transfer process
• Obtains and records vital signs
• Orients patient to the unit
• Feeds and assists in feeding patients
• Affords routine physical care needs of patients as directed by nurse

Other Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy
• Assessment and planning
• Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team
• Implementation, including co-leading group sessions, implementing treatment approaches and providing appropriate observation to patient status

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2 years schooling in Psychology or related field
• Experience preferred

Rotation

• Rotating weekends required
