Mental Health Worker - Adult 40 Hr Days
About the role
Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join their Behavioral Health team at Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital. The MHW will provide direct patient care, observe patient behavior, collect data, and provide group and individual interventions to assist psychiatric patients towards recovery and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Provides individualized patient care in a safe and effective manner.
- Performs and documents vital signs, ADLs, patient observations and other patient care activities.
- Responds rapidly to emergency call lights and performs safety checks.
- Communicates effectively with patient population.
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in the Human Services.
- Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
- Prior experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Good problem-solving skills.
