Mental Health Worker, Full-Time, Days (40 Hours: 2x8 hr & 2x12 hr shifts)

MAIN FUNCTION: Provide a variety of direct services to patients on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, assisting in the patient admission, discharge, and transfer process
• Obtains and records vital signs
• Orients patient to the unit
• Feeds and assists in feeding patients
• Assists in routine physical care needs of patients as directed by nurse
• Performs phlebotomy
• Participates in assessment and planning
• Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team
• Implements treatment approaches
• Provides appropriate observation of patient status
• Co-leads group sessions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of schooling in Psychology or related field
• Experience preferred
• Rotating weekends required
