Mental Health Therapist Outpatient

Job Summary

As an Independent Mental Health Therapist, you will provide compassionate and effective psychotherapy and counseling services to clients managing mental health challenges. Every day you will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and maintain clinical documentation while managing your caseload.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and/or assess the bio-psycho-social needs of patients and treat mental health disorders through various treatment modalities such as individual, group, family, and significant other counseling and education.
• Treat clients by conducting therapy sessions and providing crisis intervention when needed.
• Maintain open, therapeutic communication with peers, patients, and the patient's family.
• Maintain strict standards of ethical behavior, including the confidentiality of all patient affairs.
• Document clinical services that reflect progress toward goals as established in the treatment plan in accordance with departmental record keeping policy, procedure, and licensure standards.
• Collaborate, consult, refer, and coordinate treatment and discharge/after-care services with departmental treatment team, other internal programs, and external agencies and significant others.
• Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth, assure compliance with all annual competencies, and fulfill yearly education requirements to maintain an active license.
• Participate in all mandatory safety, security, and infection control programs, as well as those required and provided by the department.
• Absorb capping productivity bonuses plus an annual CEU benefit of $2,500.

Required Job Requirements

• Masters Other in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or other related behavioral health field.
• Independent Mental Health Practitioner/Counselor: NE preferred.
• Three years of post-license experience in a mental health/addiction recovery or related field.
