About the role
Make a difference where students need it most. As a School-Based Therapist, you will provide meaningful counseling services directly within Monroe County schools. In this role, you'll work closely with students, families, and school staff to support emotional well-being, improve behavioral outcomes, and help students succeed both academically and personally. This position follows a 10-month school schedule, offering a work-life balance that aligns with the academic calendar.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling services to students in a school setting
- Conduct assessments and develop appropriate diagnoses
- Create and maintain individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Provide family and group counseling as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision
- Respond professionally and promptly to client and organizational needs
Requirements
- Master's degree in:
- Clinical Psychology
- Counseling
- Mental Health Counseling
- Social Work
- Marriage and Family Therapy
- Related behavioral health field
- Clinical experience through internships, practicums, or professional employment
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- License eligible or currently licensed in Tennessee (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based populations
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches

Pay
Starting salary: $42,300 - $46,700 for this 10-month position.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 10-month position following the school-year calendar with breaks aligned to the academic year.
