About the role

Make a difference where students need it most. As a School-Based Therapist, you will provide meaningful counseling services directly within Monroe County schools. In this role, you'll work closely with students, families, and school staff to support emotional well-being, improve behavioral outcomes, and help students succeed both academically and personally. This position follows a 10-month school schedule, offering a work-life balance that aligns with the academic calendar.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling services to students in a school setting
  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate diagnoses
  • Create and maintain individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide family and group counseling as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision
  • Respond professionally and promptly to client and organizational needs

Requirements

  • Master's degree in:
    • Clinical Psychology
    • Counseling
    • Mental Health Counseling
    • Social Work
    • Marriage and Family Therapy
    • Related behavioral health field
  • Clinical experience through internships, practicums, or professional employment
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • License eligible or currently licensed in Tennessee (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based populations
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches

Pay

Starting salary: $42,300 - $46,700 for this 10-month position.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 10-month position following the school-year calendar with breaks aligned to the academic year.
