The organization partners with individuals and communities to provide comprehensive support, particularly focusing on young adults or Transition Aged Youth (TAY).

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned participants and their families.
• Develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family therapy, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services.
• Manages an assigned caseload of children, youth and/or young adult participants.
• Provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Mental Health Therapist I: Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling; One (1) year of internship experience providing mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
• Mental Health Therapist II: Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling; Two (2) years of post-master’s experience providing professional mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid California Driver’s License, valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC); Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC); Certified to conduct a CANS/ANSA assessment within 90 days of employment if the work assignment is in a County program that requires CANS/ANSA certification.
• Qualifications: Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults; Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of diagnostic assessment, individual/family/group behavioral treatment methods for target population of program; Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities; Clean driving record; Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.
