Mental Health Therapist

About the role

Join Tykes & Teens, a dynamic organization dedicated to providing quality mental health services to children and families in your community. As a therapist, you will provide psychotherapeutic interventions, assess treatment needs, develop and review treatment plans, and determine discharge criteria in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain required intake forms, documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates.
• Maintain outcome measures for the effectiveness of treatment.
• Work in a team environment.
• Provide bilingual services (English/Spanish/Haitian) if available.
• Have a valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
• Be licensed or registered under Florida Statutes 490 or 491 with at least two years of experience in working with children and families.
• Hold an active and clear State of Florida License for LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.
• A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
• An ability to work in a team environment.
• Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491 with at least two years of experience in working with children and families.

Qualifications

• Active and clear State of Florida License for LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
