About the role
The Bradley Center, a residential treatment facility since 1905, provides 24-hour care and trauma-informed treatment to children with a history of trauma and a wide range of challenges. Therapists receive training in evidence-based interventions, carry a small caseload, develop treatment plans with clients and families, and participate in team and individual supervision. This role offers valuable experience for new therapists and includes supervision necessary for licensure.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy
- Provide treatment education and guidance, including the development of individualized treatment plans
- Adhere to treatment plan objectives
- Attend monthly treatment planning meetings
- Communicate with family and external partners
- Documentation and behavioral data tracking
Qualities
- Initiative
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Patience and creativity while working with residents at their own pace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor, sound judgment, dependability, and a strong work ethic
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, art or music therapy, or other related field (required)
- Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a human services or psychiatric setting (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and car insurance
- Must be at least 21 years of age
