About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychological support and evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals across the lifespan. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct patient care, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), art therapy, dance therapy, and other appropriate modalities.
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling services.
- Support clients experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other behavioral health concerns.
- Implement behavioral management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to promote patient safety and stabilization.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, educators, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Deliver telehealth counseling services while maintaining patient engagement and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active state licensure or eligibility (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Experience providing clinical counseling for individuals with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, behavioral disorders, or addiction.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health terminology and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.
- Experience with evidence-based psychotherapy approaches, including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong crisis intervention and behavioral management skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Telehealth counseling experience.
- Experience working with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of special education or pediatric behavioral health.
- Experience with multidisciplinary care coordination.
Schedule
Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract, or Temporary opportunities available. Expected hours: 1-40 hours per week.
