Mental Health Therapist

About the role

Phrend Behavioral Health is opening our first office in Northfield, NJ. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Phrend Therapist, you will provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatments to a diverse clientele base. Responsibilities

• Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement, and maintain treatment plans, and complete ongoing documentation.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs.
• Provide individual, family, or couples therapy as needed.
• Utilize various therapeutic methods such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, cognitive processing, acceptance and commitment, or solution-focused therapy.
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including therapy session notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, treatment methods, and techniques, and continue professional development through education and training.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by relevant regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Independently licensed with a New Jersey-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Proven experience as a Psychotherapist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods and the ability to apply these in practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal considerations related to psychotherapy professions.
• Ability to work with a diverse population and age groups.
• Empathetic, patient, and compassionate nature with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health records systems.
