Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.
- Facilitate family therapy sessions involving students and their parents to foster open communication, resolve family dynamics, and promote healing.
- Lead specialized group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among students, encouraging personal growth and interpersonal skills.
- Participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for students.
- Engage in regular clinical meetings and supervision sessions, contributing to ongoing professional development, sharing insights, and receiving guidance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapeutic sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in family weekends, offering therapeutic support to families, and contributing to the overall healing process.
- Organize and lead two-day camping trips twice a year, providing opportunities for experiential learning, building relationships within families, and creating memorable therapeutic experiences.
Qualifications
- Education Required: Master’s degree in a behavioral science field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
- Licensure Preferred: Fully licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC); associate licensure (CSW, AMFT, ACMHC) also accepted.
- Therapeutic Passion: Committed to client growth through collaborative, team-based care.
- Clinical Experience: Preferred two years of therapy experience, including individual, family, and group sessions.
- Residential Expertise: One year of experience in a residential setting using relational and experiential modalities is a plus.
- Professional Readiness: Skilled in treatment planning and adjustment; must pass a state background check.
- Credentialing Preparedness: Must have or be willing to create a CAQH profile and obtain an NPI number.
