Mental Health Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide comprehensive individual and group therapy for patients with severe mental illness in a collaborative, integrated care setting. The role involves supporting patients through their recovery journey, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, addressing social determinants of health, and contributing to program development and research efforts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, holistic care within a wrap-around model
• Work closely with care teams to ensure coordinated treatment
• Manage a caseload of complex patients, providing ongoing support both in person and virtually
• Consult with licensed therapists and trainees, aiding in program development
• Address medical and social needs impacting mental health

Qualifications & Skills

• Active license as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Counselor in NY
• Experience working with adults and severe mental illness
• Proficiency in evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, or MI
• Strong communication, organizational, and technological skills
• Ability to work autonomously and build positive relationships within a team
