Mental Health Technician - Weekend Days
Your Work Matters
As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.
- Accurately record vital signs
- Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN
- Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revision
- Crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques
- Absorb patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene
- Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities
Your Experience Matters
We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Mental Health Technician with one year of related experience, a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques, and an understanding of mental illness. A high school degree or equivalent is preferred, along with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or a degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or an appropriate therapeutic discipline.

Compensation
This is a part-time role, and the expected compensation range is $20.00- $24.00 hourly. We're eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level.
