Mental Health Technician (PRN)

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred and additional schooling in psychiatric/psychology related areas a plus.
• One year experience working with acute or chronic mentally ill clients, preferably in the inpatient hospital setting preferred.
• Physical strength and agility to assist with an agitated and disruptive patient;
• Apply behavioral restraints in a quick and efficient manner;
• Perform other routine physical functions of the job;
• Withstand unusual stress factors working closely with others.

Skills

• Mental alertness and the ability to think critically and react quickly in critical situations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
