About the role
Performs the functions of a mental health technician in carrying out all assignments given by the RN in charge of the Emergency Department. Is accountable for all patient care provided in the Emergency Department. Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers.
Requirements
- Good physical and mental health
- Minimum of grammar school education; high school or equivalent desirable
- Genuine interest in welfare of ill/mentally ill
- Willingness to work under close supervision
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions effectively
- Specific orientation and training for Emergency Department
