Mental Health Technician - Per Diem - Adolescent
Job Summary
Responsible for providing direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders; ensuring the safety and well-being of patients; supporting the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu.
Essential Functions
- Aid in the care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
- Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or require additional support.
- Provide parent/family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
- Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse, AWOL precautions).
- Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- No experience in lieu of a degree accepted.
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
- Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred.
- Experience related experience 0-1 year preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Work well collaboratively and independently.
- Operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.
- Basic computer skills.
- Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times.
- Successful completion of CPI training is required within 30 days of hire.
