Mental Health Technician- Part Time (Friday and Saturday Overnight Shift)
About the role
We are offering new employees a $250 sign-on bonus for the Part-Time Mental Health Technician position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety and maintain a safe client-to-staff ratio by maintaining ongoing awareness of client whereabouts.
- Serve as a positive role model for the development of socialization and other essential skills for all residents.
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
- Absorb and record clients' medications and assist the Licensed Practical Nurse in maintaining an organized medication cart.
- Complete shift report form at the end of every shift, provide a verbal report to oncoming staff to ensure continuity of care, and inform treatment team of changes in client behaviors throughout the shift, utilizing on-call procedures as needed.
- Transport clients to scheduled program activities and appointments.
- Ensure facility schedule is upheld, including facilitating activities and assisting with chores.
- Perform housekeeping activities as directed, including facility cleaning/sanitation, bed and linen care, and other designated light housekeeping functions, as designated by the supervisor.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

What You Will Need
- A high school graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience working with co-occurring disorders is highly preferred
- Previous experience in a residential setting is highly preferred
- Computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail and organization skills are critical
- Must possess CPR, First-Aid, and Med Tech certification
- All designated drivers must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and maintain a good driving record
