Schedule

• Flexible scheduling
• PRN Tier 2: provide 6 shift availability per month
• PRN Tier 3: provide 8 shift availability per month
• Both tiers include:
  • 1 full weekend per month
  • 2 major holidays

Responsibilities

• Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan.
• Welcome new patients through specific admission protocols.
• Assist with the patient discharge process.
• Maintain direct patient observation.
• Lead patient education, community, goal, and activity groups.
• Assist nursing staff by taking vital signs and helping patients perform ADLs.
• Act as first responder to codes, behavioral outbursts, attempts to introduce contraband, and medical issues.
• Adjust therapeutic approach based on acuity, age, gender, and cultural considerations.
• Perform duties in accordance with Voyages Behavioral Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state (preferred).
• Current BLS certification (required).
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards (required).

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit (preferred).
