Mental Health Technician (Direct Support Professional/Caregiver) - Eau Claire - Full Time 2nd shift

About the role

Aurora Residential Alternatives Regional Crisis Stabilization Program assists individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, offering comprehensive services in a community-based setting. As a mental health technician, you will support individuals with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs while maintaining their dignity.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community and social integration
• Help consumers plan and prepare fun events and outings
• Assist with self-care, including dressing, bathing, toileting, brushing teeth, and shaving
• Administer medication
• Prepare and plan meals
• Transport consumers
• Follow individual service plans
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Acceptable Background Character Verification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low positions, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
• Basic English communication skills
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
• Experience with adults with disabilities preferred (no experience necessary; paid training provided)

Pay
