Responsibilities
Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior.
Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills.
Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.
Qualifications
Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. It is preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments.
Experience: At least one (1) year of related experience in a assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military.
Schedule: If working full time, must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off. Hours will be Days: 7:00 am-3:00pm, Evening: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Overnight: 11:00 pm-7:00 am.
Physical: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints.
Minimum Age - Must be at least 21 years of age.
