About the role
The Mental Health Technician I at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital provides patient care and supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position involves providing care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environmental/instrumentation, and other healthcare members. The MHT I functions as a member of the therapeutic team within the hospital's policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
