Mental Health Technician
The Mental Health Technician at MultiCare plays a crucial role in supporting psychiatric patients within a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team. Responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent patient customer service
- Aiding in clinic management
- Collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff, and clinic management to achieve comprehensive health care outcomes
- Performing a variety of functions within the clinic setting, integrating specialized knowledge and available resources
- Advocating for ethical and holistic care, promoting patient autonomy, dignity, and health
- Maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting room searches, reporting unsafe conditions, and providing emotional and physical support
- Documenting interventions in various modalities tailored to individual patient needs
Requirements include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field (preferred)
- In lieu of education, one year of relevant experience
- Nursing Assistant Registered (CNA) certification prior to start date
- BLS certification required for Navos Hospital assignments
- First Aid training required for Navos Hospital assignments
- Food Handler's Card required within two weeks of hire date
- Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty days of hire
