What You'll Do

  • Provide care and support to individuals while maintaining a structured, therapeutic and safe environment for clients
  • Monitor and assist with self-administration of medication, ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
  • Implement individualized personal care plans for each client with a focus on individual goals and needs
  • Observe and document client behaviors, mood changes and progress to the treatment team
  • De-escalate and respond to crisis situations using approved intervention techniques
  • Facilitate group activities and structured skill-building exercises to promote independence and coping strategies
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff, nurses, physicians and management staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Follow all facility policies, safety procedures and confidentiality regulations to maintain compliance
  • Maintain clear and professional documentation of interactions, incidents and interventions

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • A Valid Driver's License and Insurable driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment or related field is preferred, but not required (on-the-job training provided)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and adhere to confidentiality regulations
  • Capable of strict adherence to policies and procedures
  • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
  • Competent in communicating effectively verbally and in writing
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
  • Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems
