Mental Health Technician - 24/hr Evening/Day rotate

About the role

Mclean SouthEast (MSE) is a generalized inpatient psychiatric unit focusing on depression and anxiety, with a broader scope of care for various psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Provide parent/family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
• Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse, AWOL).
• Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
• Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred.
• Experience related experience 0-1 year preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, other members of the Health Care Team, facility personnel, and families/supportive others.
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Successful completion of CPI training is required within 30 days of hire.
