Mental Health Tech/Security Guard
Position Summary
The security guard at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Working under the supervision of the Environment of Care Director, this position helps support the overall safety and daily operations of the facility while maintaining a strong and professional security presence throughout the hospital.
This role involves conducting routine patrols of the facility and grounds, enforcing safety procedures, responding quickly to emergencies, and using de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques to manage difficult situations. The ideal candidate should be dependable, observant, professional, and passionate about protecting others while making a positive impact each day.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And/or Experience
- Education: High school diploma/GED required
- Licenses: None required
- Experience: Experienced in law enforcement, jail/prison security, or private security guard preferred
