What This Role Will Do

• Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and hazard removal
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
• Lead guests and employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
• Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
• Ensure no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
• Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
• Safeguard against theft and property damage
• Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights
• Remain in constant contact throughout the shift

Required

• Ability to work late hours
• Flexible schedule
• 3 years' work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms

Preferred

• Security Guard registration from the NYS Division of Licensing Service
• Experience in a live music environment
• Experience using metal detection equipment

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Fast-paced, often loud, and stressful environment
• Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques

The Expected Compensation

The expected compensation for this position is $16.00 USD - $18.00 USD per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
