If so, Elevate invites you to join our team as a Mental Health Technician in Supportive Independent Living. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use services while making a lasting impact in the lives of individuals in our community.

As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Working in participants' homes and throughout the community, you will help them develop the skills and confidence needed to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support in participants' homes and community settings
  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, personal goals, and community integration
  • Support medication monitoring and encourage healthy routines
  • Promote recovery, independence, and overall well-being
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Build positive, respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries

Schedule

  • Part-Time | 2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • 20–40 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling available
  • This program operates 365 days per year, including weekends and holidays

Pay

  • Starting pay: $17.00 - 20.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
  • $600 hiring bonus

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working in human services, mental health, healthcare, or customer service is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to be insured to drive company vehicles
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for documentation

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
  • Navigate homes and community environments, including climbing stairs
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
  • Lift and carry up to 10 pounds regularly
  • Occasionally assist individuals with mobility and other physical support tasks consistent with training
