About the role

Full-time night shift (12-hour shifts) position at Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services, part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, South Carolina. Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion has provided comprehensive, individualized treatment for emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders in a 62-bed Joint Commission–accredited facility. Aiken Regional Medical Centers is a 273-bed acute care hospital serving the community since 1917, recognized by the American Heart Association for cardiac and stroke care. Responsibilities

• Perform data collection accurately and promptly.
• Recognize variances in patient condition and report promptly.
• Follow the plan of care and recommend changes to meet ongoing patient needs.
• Provide care related to the patient’s needs and well-being.
• Participate in shift report as a team member to meet individual patient needs.
• Complete all work assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Report abnormal data findings promptly.
• Implement interventions from the plan of care as assigned.
• Document data collection, tasks performed, and patient response accurately and appropriately each shift.
• Accurately and appropriately demonstrate restraint use and Handle with Care techniques.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer one (1) year full-time or three (3) years part-time in an acute care setting.
• Required licenses/certifications/courses:
  • BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Handle with Care training within 30 days of hire.
  • Maintain a valid South Carolina driver’s license for patient transport, where applicable.
• Must have one of the following:
  • Current SC CNA certification
  • Current Medical Assistant certification
  • Current EMT certification
  • Passing grade in Fundamentals of Nursing course and maintain current enrollment in nursing program
  • Minimum 1 year of MHT or behavioral health tech experience
