About the Role

We have an immediate opening for a Mental Health/SUD Therapist. This position provides clinical services to clients seeking mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment plan development, individual/family/group therapy, consultation, and education services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct treatment plans using person-centered planning principles, focusing on client-identified goals.
• Provide individual and group counseling using motivational interviewing and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Participate in Outpatient Clinic programs, including Urgent Care/crisis counseling, hospital/jail consults.
• Maintain case records in SmartCare EHR, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations (DHS 75).
• Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Attend clinical supervision and case review sessions with the Medical Director.
• Mentor new clinicians and interns.
• Follow Wood County Safety policies and Core Values, practicing courtesy and respect.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and provide consultation/education services.
• Attend in-service trainings to meet licensing requirements and support professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• 3,000 hours of postgraduate supervised clinical work.
• Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor in Wisconsin.
• Wisconsin AODA certification (SAC, CSAC, or SAC-IT) or experience providing substance use treatment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Compliance with state/federal regulations and agency policies.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math for report preparation and policy adherence.
• Strict maintenance of client confidentiality.
• Basic office equipment proficiency (computer, printer, fax, telephone).

Pay

$76,960 to $87,068.80 annually
